Killed in Action when his aircraft was struck by rockets fired from a German Me-109s fighter, exploding in mid-air and then crashing near Deutsch-Kaltenbrunn, Austria, while conducting combat operations against Nazi Germany during World War II. The remains of Lieutenant Price and the other eight crewman lost in the crash were ultimately recovered and laid to rest in a group burial on May 8, 1950.
